Laing Construction – Barclay House

Blake’s are a competent and reliable company.  I would not hesitate to include them on tender lists for future projects
Doreen O’Leary, Senior Quantity Surveyor

Next door to Our Dynamic Earth in Holyrood and just a stones throw from the Royal Palace is Barclay House, previously The Scotsman Newspapers headquarters.  A very impressive modern office space that was once the heart of Scottish print media and now home to digital gaming giants Rockstar.

Ronnie Blake, Managing Director

Barclay House was officially opened by The Queen in 1999 and named after the original owners the Barclay Brothers.  Designed by leading Scottish practice CDA Architects, the building is a combination of internal open-plan modernistic steel and glass internal floors and classic sandstone exterior.

Blake Group supported the development with stairs, walkways, glass balustrades and architectural metalwork features.
