Position: Welder
Location: 1 Seafield Way, Leith, Edinburgh
Department: Shop Floor
The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience as a welder in a steel manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Certification in welding (preferred).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
As a fabrication welder, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Cut, grind, and prepare materials prior to welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Operate welding equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry regulations.
