We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our steel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details for steel structures and components. This role requires strong technical knowledge, precision, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers, production teams, and project managers..
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Diploma or certification in Drafting, Engineering Drawing, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Draftsman in steel manufacturing, structural steel, or fabrication industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, or similar drafting software.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes and structural detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
As a draftsman, your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for steel structures, components, and assemblies.
- Develop shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings.
- Interpret engineering designs and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers and production teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Revise drawings based on feedback, site conditions, and project changes.
- Maintain drawing records and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality requirements.
