Visitors to Edinburgh’s Christmas reached a record 4 million
The success of Edinburghs Christmas has exceeded all expectations with Underbelly reporting that the total footfall through East Princess Street Gardens and St Andrews square reached a record 4 million, up from last years 3.8 million.
It’s well known that Blake Group and Underbelly have worked, and continue, to work closely together during both the Edinburgh Festival and Edinburgh’s Christmas.
Blakes created a variety of attractions including ice rink foundations, stages, Christmas tree stands, pedestrian bridges across the ice rink in St Andrews Square, The Bothy Bar (created from converted containers) at the Mound and the supporting structures for the Virgin Money Street of Light.
It’s both a privilege and a pleasure to be invited to work alongside Underbelly to help create such a spectacular array of events.
