Blake Group awarded CE Marking

The harmonised European Standard, EN1090 came into force for raw material in July 2013 and became mandatory for all manufactured components on July 1st 2014.

This represents the most significant legislative change for construction-related metalwork in years.

Blake Group is delighted to announce our CE Marking Accreditation issued on 17 April 2014 that ensures our operations are fully compliant with the Construction Products Regulations relating to Structural Components for Steel Structures.

While the standard (BS EN 1090) has been around for sometime (having been accepted in 2010), the legislative requirement for compliance introduced under CE Marking still seems to have caught the construction and engineering sectors by surprise.
