Once again Caterpillar have chosen Blake Group to supply bunded oil storage tanks for their Peterlee depot as the global leaders of heavy plant machinery recently took delivery of a 30,000 litre bunded steel tank for transmission oil storage and 20,000 litre bunded steel tank for antifreeze storage.
The two tanks include a 30,000 litre bunded steel tank for the storage of transmission oil. This tank incorporates a grade 304 stainless steel inner tank with a mild steel integral bund. All fittings were supplied in 316 grade stainless steel. An integrated fill hatch to one end securely encloses the fill point, alarm, gauge and recirculating pump behind a lockable roller-shutter door. The second bunded steel tank was 20,000 litres in capacity and will be used to store antifreeze.
Both tanks will be installed by Mayfield Engineering and protected with Armco barriers.
