BS799 Part 5 & OFS T200

OFS T200 is a Tank Manufacturing Standard drawn up but OFTEC in consultation with industry, the Environment Agency (EA) and Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and includes single skin and double skin/integrally-bunded steel tanks.

OFS T200 is based on BS799 Part 5 (2010) for the primary tank but also incorporates the requirements for ‘Secondary Containment’ required by all Oil Storage Regulations in the UK.

OFS T200 is the only steel tank standard specified in the EA’s Pollution Prevention Guidelines (PPG2) and it is also specified in the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) Guidenotes to the Control of Pollution Regulations for steel oil storage tanks.
