Blake Group is the UK’s leading expert in ‘Above Ground Oil Storage’ legislation and liaises regularly with the Environment Agency (EA), Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and Department of Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA).

The firm sits on the British Standards Institute panel for BS799 (which reviews single skin tanks) and was the first company in the UK to be accredited with an OFCERT Licence from OFTEC (a licence to manufacture the Certified OFS T200 integrally-bunded tank now recommended by the EA & SEPA’s Pollution Prevention Guidelines ‘PPG2’).

As Members of the Energy Institute (EI) and Association of Petroleum & Explosives Administration (APEA), the firm is extremely active in lobbying for improvements in oil storage legislation and official guidelines to ensure the Government and the laws it sets are up to date and in line with industry and technology advancements.
